Ron White’s purpose as a mediator is to help lawyers serve their clients as trusted counselors at law, men and women who not only aggressively represent their clients, but also advise them of the realities and risks of trial. To that end, he provides astute risk analysis while working collaboratively with counsel and their clients during mediation, but at times facilitates negotiations through evaluative leadership, helping the parties explore whether or not there is a better way to resolve their dispute than allowing a judge, an arbitrator, or twelve jurors decide who is right and who is wrong. In mediation, it is not about one side winning and the other side losing; it is about resolving a dispute. Ron believes the parties will always know the facts of their case better than any tribunal of strangers and, therefore, are in the best position to reasonably resolve their dispute.
This is what others have said about mediator Ron White:
From a superior court judge: “Congratulations on your career shift to mediation. Knowing you as I do-both as opposing counsel and as an attorney appearing before me-I think you have the temperament to excel in the field, and I will be happy to recommend you when appropriate occasions arise.”
From a plaintiff’s attorney: “In addition to being personable and engaging with my client during mediation, Ron was a good listener, was persistent and continued his efforts to seek resolution long after the mediation was over, eventually helping us get the matter resolved several days after it appeared that settlement was not possible. I will definitely use Ron's services again in the future, and am confident in recommending Ron to other colleagues in the legal community.”
From a defense attorney: “Mr. White was well prepared and his persistence led to a successful resolution of our matter. He kept the parties engaged and his low key approach was highly effective.”
